چکیده

Abstract Producers and crop insurance providers will benefit from an accurate assessment of yield reduction after hailstorms that considers management, weather, growth stage, impacted part (hail affected canopy position). But, limited information is available. The main objectives this study were to quantify wheat ( Triticum aestivum L.) losses associated with simulated hail damage timing position. was conducted in two locations (Garden City [irrigated], Manhattan [rainfed]) Kansas, 2018 2020 2016 2018, respectively. Treatments incomplete factorial combination stem bending at seven flowering stages, above or below the flag leaf a nontreated control. Results indicated 11%–22% due 32%–52% impact under irrigated conditions. Within high‐yielding rainfed environment, caused up 20% compared In low‐yielding environments, mainly dependent on stage occurrence. Hail Feekes 11.2–11.4 stages decreased by 20%–50% 10.0–10.5.4 50%–70% We provide empirical evidence indicates interaction effect in‐season water position estimates loss should consider these factors.

Hyperspectral prediction of leaf area index of winter wheat in irrigated and rainfed fields

The growth status of winter wheat in irrigated field and rainfed field are obviously different and the field types may have an effect on the predictive accuracy of hyperspectral model. The objectives of the present study were to understand the difference of spectral sensitive wavelengths for leaf area index (LAI) in two field types and realize its hyperspectral prediction. In study, a total of ...

Yield Response of Winter Wheat to Row Spacing under Irrigated and Rainfed Conditions

Zhou, X. B. and Y. h. Chen, 2011. Yield response of winter wheat to row spacing under irrigated and rainfed conditions. Bulg. J. Agric. Sci., 17: 158-166 In China, wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is cultivated across a wide range of climatic conditions. The average rainfall was recorded at 696.6 mm per year from 1971 to 2008 at Taian in northern China. Considerable variability in the row spacing (...

Climate Change Impact on Some Factors Affecting Rainfed Wheat Growth (Case Study: Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province)

The aim of this study was to investigate the climate change impacts on some factors affecting rainfed wheat growth such as effective rainfall, planting date and length of growing season in four stations located in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province. Firstly, it is necessary to predict future (2046-2065) climatic conditions. For this purpose, the output of HADCM3 general circulation model was us...

Salt Sensitivity of Two Wheat Cultivars at Different Growth Stages

To determine salt sensitivity for wheat at various growth stages, a factorial experiment arranged as randomized complete block design was conducted in the ambient environment at the National Salinity Research Center, Yazd, Iran. Treatment were two cultivars of wheat (Kavir & Roshan) and salinity imposed at emergence, tillering, stem elongation, spike emergence and one week after anthesis. A con...

Salinity Effects on Mineral Nutrients and Performance of Turnip (Brassica Rapa L.) at Different Growth Stages

In order to study the effects of different salinity levels on turnip (Brassica rapa L.), an investigation was conducted at Yasouj University, Iran, in 2010. The effects of four salinity levels including 1.92, 9.87, 19.6 and 21.94 ds m-1 (20:1 ratio of NaCl: CaCl2 in Hoagland solution) on germination, vegetative and maturity stages of turnip (Baherghan landrace) were investigated. The results re...
